First Day Jitter Juice!!!

We read First Day Jitters and then drank magical Jitter Juice to take away our jitters!   Now we are ready to start our day worry free!

First time eating in the cafeteria. They did a great job!

First time I got to be an "official" lunch lady and wear an apron to help the kiddos!

The Kissing Hand

Here is the story we read today!  Listen to it again with your child before making them their own kissing hand to keep in school.  You should have received a small baggie with a little note and yellow construction paper hand.  Email me if you didn't get one or need more clarification.


We had a SUPER day today!  Lunch went wonderfully and the students really enjoyed library, and seeing a friendly face from kindergarten, Mrs. Marschka, the librarian.  All the boys and girls did a great job CHAMPing it up throughout the day.  CHAMPs is a new behavior program that gives students expectations for how to act throughout the day.  Stay tuned for more info about CHAMPs soon!

Please send in the blog permission slips ASAP so that I can start putting pictures of the students and their learning on the blog for you to see.  Get ready for day 2 tomorrow!!! :)
